I’m into Videoblogging — and not.
Hopefully everything will be normal. I’m back with HostGator.
Damn.

A few YouTubers who are supporters of Trashman still love to lurk around and leave a nasty comment or two. I’m at the point now where I can seriously say that I’m tired of merely deleting them. I want to block them, them whomever they are.
Just a note: If he was so good to you, why don’t you get him out of jail?
From EW’s Popwatch:
It could absolutely still suck, but it’s promising. And, again, Uhura took her top off. If that’s not an upside to a reboot, then I don’t know what is. What do you think?
I only have one thing to say….
BET’s Beneath The Underdog blog lamented a topic as old as hell itself — the music career of Janet Jackson. Personally I don’t think she’s nearly as talented as her brother Michael. Since however she’s the only Jackson still recording anything folks would listen to, she gets most of the play.
This shit however takes the cake:
I’ll admit that I’m one of the many fans wishing that Janet Jackson’s music would grow up a bit. I thought much of her last album sounded like she was competing with her imitators – Britney Spears, anyone? But I never suggest that she try to sound like Sade!
According to a report of singerroom.com, Janet claims that her former label, Def Jam, wanted her to sound like Sade. Apparently that was the last straw. “I’m not ready for that just yet. I love doing dance songs and I think my fans expect that of me,” she said.
Fair enough, Janet shouldn’t try to sound like another artist, especially someone as iconic as Sade. Still, there has to be a balance somewhere between dance and mature [read: better lyrics, better musical arrangements, better themes] material.
More after the jump.
From Chicago Public Radio:
It won’t be long before Santa Claus makes appearances around town. But the economic downturn might make Santa spottings less frequent.
Kids who want to read their wish list to Santa might have to make it snappy. The man in the jolly red suit could be on an hourly rate. And, in this tough economy, some holiday planners can’t afford an extended visit.Joanne Winkler is with an event planning company, Chicagofun.com. She says her customers are requesting shorter Santa visits, and some have already canceled their reservations.
WINKLER: One of the large malls - outdoor malls - have completely canceled their holiday walk. That meant canceling the Santa, the reindeer and carolers. It was pretty sad.
Winkler says the company itself is preparing for slower holiday business by offering cheaper options. They’re even coaching Santa on what to say when kids ask for gifts that parents might not be able to afford: Santa will do his best.
Me being me, I have the perfect answer for them.
I’m 30 years old. Technically that’s too old for any club. I however wanted to go out and did so with a friend for a friend of mine’s birthday party. All of Chicago was invited and therefore the place would be wall to wall with patrons (mostly women sexily dressed) trying to get their dance and drink on.
I’m not an outgoing type and so my understanding of going out is different than most who like to do that sorta thing. The following of what I’ve learned will probably help me to form a better opinion of going out and going to clubs in general. This list is not completely accurate as this is all mostly my opinion.
Here we go.
I had to move from my previous web host. Cheap prices may be good for the pocket, but they don’t mean the service will be any good. Here’s to a new beginning.

The New York Times paints a rather depressing picture for those looking to go to college in the future. Here’s a couple of highlights:
Arizona State University, anticipating at least $25 million in budget cuts this fiscal year — on top of the $30 million already cut — is ending its contracts with as many as 200 adjunct instructors.
And this doozy move from The Terminator:
On Thursday, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of California proposed a midyear budget cut of $65.5 million for the University of California system — on top of the $48 million reduction already in the budget.
$17,950.00 annually is the current cost of Columbia College, a film college here in Chicago. Lord knows how much hell the kids there are dealing with in trying to pay that and getting a job after finally finishing there. Colleges however, have to get beyond the traditional “trying to find yourself” bullshit.
UPDATE: To a certain commentor — the correction has been made. The blog was going through some maintenence.
That is all.
Julia Hudson, sister of Jennifer Hudson, has been taking the beating for some rather questionable moves on her part. I will not however go into a repeat of what it was that made everyone in the blogsphere cringe. It doesn’t matter and it doesn’t make the murder of Julia Hudson’s mother, brother and son anywhere near to a conclusion.
The anger being directed at her is straw grabbing. There should be an effort, with the same vigor and passion as the bloggers put towards Julia Hudson, to finding the real killer of those individuals. I slightly doubt these same bloggers will do that.
It’s easier to pick apart Julia Hudson since, by her own fault, she keeps her Myspace public (it was supposed to be private). Bloggers get her photos with the questionable captions below and begin to find all sorts of ways of picking her apart. I care about Jennifer Hudson like anyone else, but how exactly does this make her feel better knowing that the same bloggers giving her condolences are the same ones who are hitting the same old brick wall picking on Julia Hudson?
Jennifer Hudson is right to stay hidden for awhile and perhaps, if neccessary, as far away from a computer as possible.
